Like every resident of Fane’s Cove, Cadence McKenna knows her town is, well, odd. And yet, they’re accustomed to the near-daily supernatural happenings- so accustomed, in fact, that when Gray Addison moves to town and stays, she is shocked to find that she’s the only one who insists that there must be something strange about him.
With her lifelong- if minor- psychic sensitivity handed down from her grandmother, she knows that what she feels isn’t simple paranoia. After all, how many normal guys pay no mind to random poltergeist activity occurring right in front of them?
Cadence can’t blame anyone for wanting to ignore that there might be more to his presence here. If he is a normal guy, it may be the first sign that whatever it is about the town that drives visitors away is fading. But when she sees Gray acting very suspiciously, she realizes that her feelings won’t be dismissed until she understands why he’s in Fane’s Cove. Even if it means sticking her neck out by pretending to get close to him … and learning more about her town’s history than anyone would ever want to know.
Reviews for Buried
There were so many things that I liked about this book it would be too hard to list them all, but I will list a few. The plot was very interesting and developed to where there was always something exciting happening to keep my attention fully engrossed in this book. I even took it with me to work and read on my breaks, which is something I generally don't do because I only have fifteen minutes, or a half hour. That just doesn't seem like enough time and I am not someone who likes to put a book down if [...]
This was a good read.
It was well-written and an original YA urban fantasy. The plot keeps you from putting the book down and has many twists and turns to keep you interested in reading further.
The story is about a town with mysterious ongoings and two teens get mixed up right in the middle of it. Cadence has a supernatural gift that she's inherited from her mothers side of the family. Grey, is new to town and he's on a hunt to figure out what is going on with his families history.
If you are looking for a fun and entertaining read, then you must pick-up Gerilyn Marin's 'Buried!' This story transports you to a town where there's never a dull moment; a perfect setting for the mysterious and the unknown..and for Cadence's and Grey's sleuthing into the 'what the heck is going on here?!' I enjoyed the twists and turns as the author creates an exciting labyrinth of 'what's next?' and 'oh my goodness that's insane!' You'll see what I mean when you read it. There are stretches of scenes to get past--perhaps to build momentum, but once you reach the [...]
When I saw the synopsis for this one I was really hoping for something truly original. I read a lot of books and while that normally isn't a downfall of any proportions it can kind of hinder the ability to find something new in the genres that I read the most in. So when I do find something new and unheard of, it is rather refreshing.
I went into this read with absolutely no expectations whatsoever. Not just because the author was unknown to me but because honestly, I didn't want to be disappointed. I hate it when I get excited [...]
