It’s that time again, when the Curiosity Quills Press team comes together to reassess our literary vessel’s course along these bumpy seas, plot new directions, and journey forth with fresh wind in our sails. Arrrgh, matey!
First on the agenda is introducing a talented newcomer to the CQ lineup, and our second serialized author – Matthew Graybosch – whose epic, STARBREAKER will be released through Curiosity Quills Press very soon.
Matthew has been working tirelessly on his work for quite some time, and we are excited to bring the fruits of his labor to readers around the world.
The first installment of STARBREAKER will be announced in the coming days.
Next, a long-awaited development that has us quivering with anticipation – Michael Shean‘s dark sci-fi BONE WIRES has an official release date: Thursday, November 3 at 5:00pm Eastern US time!
You may have noticed this from the huge countdown timer sitting on the front page of our website, but we thought we’d mention it just in case.
For those not in the know, BONE WIRES is set in the same universe as SHADOW OF A DEAD STAR, filled with mysterious and dangerous Wonderland tech, otherworldly conspiracies, and turncoat allies.
So stay tuned for the first installment of BONE WIRES, and take this opportunity to, er… bone up… on this exciting series.
Finally, if you are around the NoVa region, there’s another reason why Thursday, November 3 is important. Mark your calendars, writerly folks, ’cause the Curiosity Quills Press team will be joining literary agent Sarah Davies of the Greenhouse Agency for a very special discussion about the state of publishing, best practices in getting your work seen by agents and publishers, and storytelling in general.
The event will take place in Reston’s Used Book Shop at 1623 Washington Plaza, Reston, VA 20190 at 6:30pm Eastern US time.
We will host the discussion in a semi-moderated way, with some kickoff questions which will hopefully lead to fun and engaging discussion. We will also accept questions from attendees.
Furthermore, Sarah Davies WILL be accepting YA and Children’s queries at the end of the session for those interested in pitching to her.
We will be posting more information throughout the next several days, so stay tuned and we hope to see you there!
