Born in France from a German mother and French father, Johanna always dreamed of writing since she was born.
She wrote several novels and screenplays but took a break when her artistic aspirations got replaced by more realistic ambitions. She started her legal studies at the University of Nice, France, late 2000, and graduated with a Masters in International Law late 2005. In July 2006, she started her LL.M. at Hofstra Law School and became an attorney admitted in New York State in 2008.
She currently resides in New York City.
Johanna loves science-fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy and paranormal genres. She also writes horror short stories, and has been busy working on a science-fiction and urban fantasy trilogy since May 2010, called The Manicheans.
Julie deals with more problems than most teenagers her age. A runaway, she quickly ends up homeless and broke. When an old Gypsy woman offers to read her future in exchange for a meal, the tarot cards reveal a great destiny, and perilous journey–and a red heart shaped box of chocolates melts reality and fantasy into one never ending nightmare where failure equals death.
In an unwelcoming world filled with danger, will her guide, Evan, truly help her when she needs him most? Demons of a long forgotten past haunt her dreams and seek revenge for something she doesn’t remember. Too many questions receive too little answers. Will Julie accept the truth to survive?
