Death by Chocolate, by Johanna Pitcairn - CoverSo here we are.

Volume 1 of Death by Chocolate is done. But many questions remain unanswered. I hope you had fun following the hints scattered throughout the story. Which character is your favorite? If you say Julie, that’s too easy of an answer. ;)

Volume 2 is going to be much crazier. And if you think she’s defeated her demons, well think again. I promise you more haunting, more introspection and another journey back in time. If Julie manages to change the past, will she save herself? Or is her life bound to what happened to Kara?

Julie is a tormented teenager but she is not unredeemable. Many of her doubts and concerns could apply to us. Anything we do, anything we want to accomplish is directly tied to our previous experiences – good and bad – and what we learned from the mistakes we made. By going deep inside her own subconscious, Julie only dug up memories that acted as triggers to help her realize she had to face the truth, and ultimately, make some life changing decisions.

It is very hard to take a step back and give an objective assessment of what pollutes your existence. Often, the first culprit is you. You repeat the same mistakes, and adopt patterns that become routine and yes, habits die hard.

Julie has started to make amends. But the story wouldn’t be fun if all paranormal phenomena ended so abruptly, right? Be ready for more Gypsy, more Evan and, last but not least, more romance…

Volume 2 to be released soon on this site. :)

Johanna Pitcairn
I always loved to write, and as a kid, I dreamed of becoming a writer. I finished my first novel at the age of 9 and authored more stories for many years after that, including two movie scripts when I was 17. I took a break from writing when I started law school in 2000, and really thought I was done with it, because “writing does not pay the bills”, my dad used to say. But life made me go back to it ten years later. I live in New York City and I write about my life, my hopes, my fears, my friends and my enemies, and anything else that comes to mind.
